FLC phone app: Where can we find detailed information?

Hello, we are looking at using the app to be able to create records and submit through a workflow. However, realized that the app in Android doesn't let you edit the item before executing a transition, which in turn really affects some of our processes.

Also, are there differences in the capabilities between Android and iPhone apps? Why don't associated attachments show up in the app? Is if because of Modern UI?

Yes the iPhone and Android mobile apps (currently both at v1.08 as of this writing) have same functionality. 

Presently editing items is not available in the apps

Yes, as you've discovered, mobile apps are a reflection of the classic FLC mode, thereby are not reflecting the attachment tab of your FLC with cPDM environment.
