bulk Upload for Attachments

Hi,

We need to bulk  load parts in PLM360 , but these parts also have Attachments so I am trying to figure out whether

we can attach the documents as well for those parts , as part of the IMPORT project itself?

Thanks

Pnigam

Greetings, this would be a two step process:

1. load the items, manually, via import, or via API.

2. load the files to respective items manually or via API.

Let me know if have more questions on these points,

Hi Martin,

Thanks !

By any chance do you have a code sample /snippet on how to do STEP 2 via API?

Thanks

Pnigam

Just wondering if there was an answer to the request for help with step 2 via API as i'm also looking to import attachments for many items.

Thanks,

Denise.

There's some sample code (both VB.NET and C#) with the Autodesk University class DV1518: Programming Autodesk (Fusion Lifecycle) PLM 360 Using REST  you could use as reference (be sure to change to call the current API - this is documented in the Help under the Resource Endpoints - for adding files see Create an attachment).

Thank you Michelle,

Apologies for the delayed response. Thank you for the link, it looks like this will give us what we need to be able to write the API to do this.

Regards,

Denise.
