Importing an f3d file

Hello

I have had a lot of trouble with Fusion 360 in the last few days and it was a first for me. Firstly I had a lot of trouble editing and saving my work as the uploads were failing and somehow reached the point that Fusion would allocate 30GB of RAM and making everything sluggish... So I saved my work locally as an f3d file. When I import the file, I can open it but it is not the same as any other design, or any other imported  geometr, CAD or mesh. I cannot use it in other designs, it just is not draggable... How can I convert the f3d file to a normal Fusion design?

Thanks

Hi @dimitris.servis

Can you check if you see the command "Create Fusion Design" when you right-click on such an item in the data panel.  This will upload and create a new Fusion file which should behave just like any other Fusion file.

Just curious, how did you get such files into Fusion's data panel?  Did you upload them from the Fusion Team web interface?

Regards,

Gautham

Hi @gautham_kattethota

thanks for your response. No I cannot see an option for "Create Fusion Design". I think I uploaded it from the web interface because the desktop client was getting stuck.

@dimitris.servis Hi. I am curious to know what commands you have available in the menu when you right click on one such file in Fusion360's data panel.  Can you send an image?

Thanks
Gautham
