Delay in synchronization between Autodesk Drive and Fusion Team

I have been testing Autodesk drive, handling Inventor and Solidworks files and syncing them to my Fusion Team hub.

But there seems to be some delay issues in the sync of the files/changes between the two.

Let me give an example:

If I open a file in Inventor and make a change, save the file/change in my Autodesk Drive - then It seems to be very random when i actually see the update in Fusion Team.

It seems to be the case the other way around as well, If I promote a version of a file in Fusion Team I would expect the promoted version of the file to be the one I open through my Autodesk Drive, but again it seems to be a waiting game before it actually makes the update.

So my thoughts are that the sync is done at preset time intervals, is this correct? and if so is there any way to make this more instant or "force" a sync?

I would really be glad if someone could explain the thoughts behind the sync function..

Best regards from DK..

Hi,

What I noticed is that restarting Inventor and reopening the files sometimes triggers the files (until then outdated on Fusion Team) to be propagated properly.

Also, the pending files window seems to show very random things and is rarely accurate.

Hi Alexander

This is the same experiences I'm having..

The idea behind the connection of the desktop and Fusion Team through Autodesk Drive is really good, but there seems to be some bug here that needs fixing, before it becomes really dependable.

But I'm hoping Bud perhaps could bring some light to this issue?

Hi Kasper,

Can you share a screenshot of Autodesk Drive that you are seeing and also let us know what build you are using?    I want to make sure we are talking about the same product first.

Thanks in advance for getting this for us.

Hi Kasper,

I did some checking today and the way Autodesk Drive works, there can be approximately 20 minute delay between when you save the file and it gets pushed up to your Fusion Team Project and folder. This is expected so that if you are making multiple changes to your file, we are not constantly trying to upload these changes.

I'm also curious how you got Autodesk Drive? Can you PM me more details around that, I am just curious.

Thanks again for posting to the forum and looking forward to hearing back from you on t his.
