Lets say my pcb file is v8 and it was just saved. I then pushed the pcb to 3D and I see now that my pcb file name has an asterisk next to it (ie. v8*). So when I close out its' electronics document I see the pcb file is now v9?

@frederick.hess , the reason is PCB document maintains a link to the the 3D PCB. When 3D PCB is updated, 2D PCB will be updated as well to track the change.
