Where to start learning basic electronics and circuits

I've been wanting to learn about electronics and circuits and I don't know where to get started. What's the best way/recommendations for a beginner to start learning (books, youtube videos, electronic kits etc.)

Hi zacharyedwards72,

That is a great question, thank you for participating on the Fusion 360 electronics forum. I'm certain many users will provide you awesome suggestions, but I wanted to begin this thread by suggesting that you take a look at some of the comprehensive basic electronic lessons available on Instructables

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Ed

Thanks, I will check it out! Also, would you recommend getting a basic electronics kit?

I would recommend the original Arduino starter kit. I started there a few years ago and it was an easy, nice and fun way to start. Then there's a book called encyclopedia of electronic components. It is also aimed at beginners and it will prove useful as you learn more. Another nice one is Arduino cookbook.

Hi @zacharyedwards72,

Get some good second hand textbooks if you really want to dive deep. If you are looking for something comprehensive, I'd recommend the Art of Electronics as a great reference.
