Trouble with SnapEDA 3D model not showing up correctly when added to part

The package comes in from the download 90 degrees so I rotate it and move it point to point to match the footprint

The package when dragged into the footprint has it's own origin so rotating it there are two origins and the Z axes becomes the Y axes , when moving the 3d package on the board going up on Z moves it Back on Y

I downloaded the Eagle library of this part and the 3d package in .igs format. Any ideas?

Here is the part link to SnapEDA https://www.snapeda.com/parts/PJ-007/CUI%20Devices/view-part/260682/?welcome=home&company=C%26C+...

Tried a step file same thing, Added third screenshot showing it's actually the XY and XZ Origins.

XY is XZ.PNG

I took another stab at it, What i found here is you have to rotate the 3d model to match origin before importing it to the new library part.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-electronics/workflow-for-creating-packages-in-f360-electro...

I was also not rotating the part on the correct axes , this time I selected the X origin of the original part to rotate it.

I then had to move the origin of the part to the same origin of the footprint, I was able to select a point on the one pin and move point to point, i then measured the bottom rounded part of that pin and moved the body over 1/2 the distance of the length and width (the center of that component) and made the final move of the body in the Z direction to line up the bottom of the part with the footprint plane.

The part is now good to go.

Funny and terrible is how mauch time is lost, when you multiply thousands of user doing the same thing.

I was working with  same barrel power jack connector 3 months ago. Why autodesk is not providing such basic parts built in?

Why they not just take of advantage that the libraries are already done by the users, multiple times and they are saved on their servers?, just take them and combine all together? Private data ? - just give user option share your library with kind of exchangeable points for every download, then I guarantee you that Fusion Would have the best libraries.

Hi @christopher2KLSVU , @markY6RWE ,

For the package offset issue, we will have a look, sorry for any inconvenience.

And for your reference, we have a PJ-102B_POWER_CON device in the shared BeagleBone_Blue_R3 library if you need it in the future.

You need to use it from Library Manager -> Available List, which will be shown in the In Use tab and could be added from the Add Part list in the future.
