Through hole capacitors

Sorry for the ling post, but I am New to fusion 360. electronic design.  Of the last four hours I have wasted 3 1/2 trying to find a basic through hole ceramic capacitor component.  I have imported some eagle libraries but to no avail.

I'm looking for this type of capacitor.

It seems to me this should be there by default and a beginner would not be expected to create his own components just to create his first simple design.  I see plenty of surface mount caps but only electrolytic through hole.

It appears there are no through hole diodes either.but there are through hole resistors..

1) where do I look.  Do I need to install some through hole libraries?

2)Is there a way to have it show me only through holes so I don't have to sort through surface mount?

Mark

Hi @mark_winger,

I hope you're doing well. Go into the library manager and search for the rcl library. This library contains plenty of through-hole capacitors and they are the first ones in the list. These are organized by pad spacing, not the specific material since many capacitors of different materials use the same pad spacing.

Take a look at that library and let me know if you run into any problems. For the example, you've shown I would use something like the

050-025x075

It means the pins are 5mm apart and the envelope from cap is 2.5mm tall x 7.5mm long

Let me know if you run into any problems.

I had installed the rcl library but the components did not show. But when i opened the library manager I saw the switch to turn it on. Then I could find them.

Thanks.
