Hi @micro9997

I hope you are doing!

For your question, do mean that you want to save your grid settings for specific file?

And for this function, we have do some improvement for it. And it will be in the next release.

I will keep you updated when we release it.

Best Regards,

It's killing me having to change from imperial to metric every time.. especially when every data sheet on the planet is in metric.

Hi @micro9997 @jroddisRT8HL @engineeringNCMXB

I hope you are doing well!

Today we release Fusion 360 V2.0.9636. Now the settings of grid can be saved in your schematic and PCB files.

You can got to Preferences, then go to Reset Grid Tab. Choose Check/Uncheck those seleections.

If you want to save your grid settings in you schematic/PCB, you can uncheck those selections.

Then your grid settings will be saved. You can reopen your files to double check.

There is a reminder that your change for grid settings will not activate the Save button directly (For some reasons, our developers make the decision for this scenario).

It means that you need to do other changes to activate Save button, but I think it will not affect your workflow.

Please have a try, thanks!

Perfect!

I love to see progress. Especially seeing progress that is driven by the end users.

A seemingly small but great quality of life improvement, thank you!

Hi all,

The solution may come a little late, but it's a great help for me, and maybe for you too.
I have created shortcuts to change the grid settings. These can then be assigned to F keys, for example. This allows you to switch between different grid settings at the touch of a button.
This is the command instruction for my inch Grid:

GRID ON DOTS INCH 0.05 1 ALT 0.025

(Grid->ON, Style->DOTS, Size->0.05inch, Multiple->1, Alt->0.025inch)

and this for my mm Grid:

GRID ON LINES MM 1 5 ALT 0.1

(Grid->ON, Style->LINES, Size->1mm, Multiple->5, Alt->0.1mm)

I hope it's helps

Mike
