Silkscreen doesn't shown in the 3D visualization

Hi,

I have all my labels placed in layer #25 tNames, but none is displayed when i push to 3D PCB.

In the 3D visualization window, it can bee seen that "Silkscreen Top" and "Silkscreen Bottom" layers  (located expanding Board->Canvases) are invalid in the tree browser, as stated in the attached picture.

Someone could help me how to display the Silkcreen content (layer #25) in the 3D visualization?

There appears to be a bug in the silkscreen layer height.  The silkscreen is inside the board.  If you turn off the Board/Bodies the silk layer shows up!  I have tried to decrease the board thickness but that did not help.  I have an older design which works ok so I am not sure what triggers this bug.  As you can see the silkscreen is under the traces instead of on top of the traces.

Hi @tgsell ,

First of all, thanks for your support.

However, it seens to be a different problem/bug. I have already hidden the "Bodies" in the browser tree, and the silkscreen doesn't show. I think it's not related to the height of the silkscreen layer.

Please take a look, on my case the icon on the "Silkcreen Top" and "Slikscreen Bottom" layers are with a forbidden-style icon.

Hi @fernando.magroXF258, can you check if there is any geometry (like a dimension line) near by the top left corner of the board outline? If so, you can try to move it to a different position. If not, is it ok to share your PCB file so that we can look at what is wrong?

@fernando.magroXF258 , your .fbrd file works well and I can see the silkscreen on 3D PCB. Can you try to create a new design and see if the silkscreen appears in 3d pcb?

Hi

I have already tested with a new project, and NO silkscreen after pushing to 3D Vis.

I have sent you by e-mail this issue.

Did you have some news about it ?

Thanks.

So you don't have silkscreen on any design. This is very strange because nobody in the team saw this issue.

Ok, it's very strange, i agree with you, with another team's members it's doesn't occur.

I will start a new project right now, and i will post it here.

There is no silkcreen graphics on the 3D modelThere is no silkcreen graphics on the 3D model

Attached is the BOARD and the generated 3D model.

Please, take a look at the "forbidden" icon in the tree on the 3D visualization window, as i have circulated above.

I'm trying to get support via chat but i'm waiting a contact from Autodesk to try to solve this problem.

In Push to 3D PCB command, if you select "Fastest" mode, can you see the silkscreen?

Hi,

I have tested now with the "Fastest" preset, and still have no lucky. Still without silkscreen graphics.

Hi @fernando.magroXF258,

I hope you're doing well. Can you confirm that your silkscreen is on the tPlace and bPlace layers as well as tNames and bNames. These are the layers that define the silkscreen for the 3D PCB. If you have your silkscreen on any other layers they will not appear here.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

@fernando.magroXF258 , if you go to the MANUFACTURING tab and click Manufacturing Preview command, can you see the silkscreen there?

Hi @yqliu , i have done this test right now. In MANUFACTURING -> CAM PREVIEW, it doesn't show anything in the Top or Bottom Side, only the Drills.

I have tested it on the computer of another team member here (with the same project), and it shows all the layers correcly.  I think we found the problem.

Hi @fernando.magroXF258 ,  did you change the background color of the editor before? Do you mind trying to reset the color settings to the default value from the application preference if you have changed it?
