Schematic Values Vanished

Hello,

I have a 4 page schematic when the schematic opened page 2 and 4 are missing all the component values.  On page 1 and 3 they are still there.  Looking at the forum I tried using the reposition command but that did not work.  If I drag a new component and enter a value it does show up.

If I click properties for the existing part the values are there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @rimbruglio,

So there are a couple of things you could check. Just to double confirm, you used the REPOSITION command set to Restore default and then clicked on the components on the sheet. If you haven't done that please try it.

If that doesn't work, then the next place to look is in the component libraries. Check the symbols of the components and make sure that they have >VALUE placeholders. While you are at it check the footprints as well.

This will likely be the culprit.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.

Hello Jorge,

I did try the reposition command and it did not work.  The libraries are Fusion 360 libraries.  I have not downloaded them locally so I would not expect I should need to download and edit the library.  Please let me know if you believe I should try that.

Little bit of an update.

On some parts I was able to do a replace part to the same part, and the values and designators came back, on all that part type.  IE: Resistors with a 603 package.

This approach did not work for all effected components however,  some I would replace part and nothing, the values and designators stayed invisible.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi @rimbruglio,

I hope you're doing well. If replacing the parts didn't bring the info back then that's a clear indication that in the library there are no >NAME and >VALUE placeholders. The only solution in that case is to go into the library and fix the part.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
