Purchasing Electronic Components from Built-in Libraries

I made a PCB using some resistors and capacitors from the default libraries in Fusion 360 (i.e. "Sparkfun-Capacitors"). When making my BOM, I realized these components don't seem to have proper part numbers. I tried searching what was given (i.e. "CAP-08064") and it returned nothing on Sparkfun or any other website. My attachment shows what little information I get for one of these components. Where can I buy the parts that appear in the default libraries? It would be bizarre if these components didn't actually exist.

Hi @aryanprasad090

What you're discovering is that many companies use their own numbering systems for components. As you become more familiar with electronics you'll begin to select the key information you need to buy parts. For your example, capacitors, some of the key information you need is value, footprint and voltage rating. From your png file, you can see the footprint is an 0603. The value is 10nF and voltage rating is 50V.

From there you can visit a distributors web site and search for a capacitor with those ratings. If you want to learn more about capacitors (or electronics in general) check out the series of videos I made for them at: Video 9 What do Capacitors do in a Circuit - YouTube and Video 10 Capacitor Units and Construction - YouTube

So the capacitor in the built-in library is not a specific component but more like a generic template that allows for many different specific capacitors? That's very helpful. Thanks!
