Placing Text on a PCB and Seeing it in 3D

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to add a specific text to a PCB in copper, but the text is not showing on the 3D design.

I tried making the Text layer Top, but that did not show anything in 3D.

Attached are some images for demonstration.

I'm curious why you want to write out the text in copper instead of putting it on the silkscreen but that is neither here nor there. You could use smd pads in the footprint to "draw" out the text in block fashion. Just attach them all to the same signal in the device definition to avoid keepout issues on the board layout.

I don't believe Fusion recognizes the placed text as viable elements for the copper layers so you would most likely have to cheat the system somehow.

Hope this helps.

Thx

Hi @Anonymous

I hope you are doing well!

For the text, it is a known issue and has been reported to our develop team.

I will keep you updated when we release the fix for this issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi @osamaolabi @Anonymous

I hope you are doing well!
We support the copper text on 3D PCB.

You can check the Copper text checkbox in the Push to 3D PCB command dialog.

Please have a try, thanks!
