PCB 3D view changes

It has been a while since I used Fusion 360 electronics...

When I used it last time I could create fine looking canvases like this

But now whatever I tried soldermask is solid single green color where no mark of traces are showing up...

Can not create great looking render files with mechanics now it is annoying me...

I tried giving alpha values to soldermask in layer stack, I can see traces in their copper colors in 3D view  but then soldermask never gets rendered..

Is there something I am missing?

Hi @rbkyorem ,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Do you mind sharing your board file to us for checking?

I will send private message you later.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Hi @rbkyorem,

Thank you very much for your reply in private message.

After checking with our development team, we understood your issue and sorry for any inconvenience.

Before we have any update about this one, we'd suggest to try CAM Preview instead to change color.

Or not using View 3D PCB with fastest mode, but use recommended mode instead?

Is that OK for you?

Hello thanks for the reply,

I have tried this option too but with alpha level of 255 I can't see traces on board(Expected). If I set alpha level to 200 then I can see the traces but then when I render the board this is what I get.

Solder mask never gets rendered because of alpha value.

Below is what I want. From my older designs which still have the soldermask as canvas push. Notice that soldermask is rendered and traces are visible.

This removed feature really hurts my basic product presentation. It should be brought back.

Problem here is with new 3D view soldermask is not being rendered or  I am missing something in rendering configuration?

😮

Sorry...

At last I managed to get a canvas push. Without your reply I would never go and chose the fastest mode for 3D PCB view because naming is just wrong I think. I though fastest push would downgrade quality of my 3D view of PCB since I have RTX 4080 and i7 12700k ,I want the best quality view I can get.

Fastest push seems to solve my all problems thanks for the help.

My recommendation from this point would be to change fastest to canvas push maybe.

Topic solved.

I would like to add that without setting an alpha level I could not get fastest mode show traces on canvas today.
