Panelize PCB with Fusion 360 Electronics

Hi,

I am suffering for Panelize PCB in Fusion 360 Electronics, previously Eagle now with Fusion since 2020. Now its 2023 and still we have not  an  important feature for PCB like Panelize.

If here any officials here from Fusion 360 team, its a humble request to add Panelize PCB feature in Fusion 360 Electronics. or please give some information about this feature if it is on the roadmap or we can get this in future or not.

I hope you're doing well. I've added your comments to the existing ticket for this request. As of right now we don't have any ETA for it. At this moment, you can work around it by disabling the Detect Board shape functionality and running the panelize ULP. If you are interested in the work around let me know and I'll post more details.

Yes you can add this feature request in exsiting ticket. At present we do panelize pcb manually which is very complex, not linked, time consuming. I think it will be more better if we got a dedicated feature or tools (NOT ULP) for panelize the PCB's (like Altium). It will be more helpful for everyone and very easy, time saver.

Its very strange that about 3 years and still this feature has not in development or no hope for that we can get it in near future.

I hope you're doing well. I totally agree that it would be nice to have a dedicated feature. Especially considering that we have such excellent arrange tools at Autodesk. I will report your comments and add them to the ticket.

I don't have any timeline for this yet, however every voice helps get eyes on it and this in turn can raise it's priority.

Hi Jorge - just curious is there is an update on adding an easy to use panelize feature? Seems like the product team is adding a host of other functionality without addressing some of *the* most basic features of a pro tool (just an observation).

It would be really great to see the product roadmap and the backlog of critical features 🙂

As of right now I don't have any update. I looked at the ticket, it's set as high priority so it's definitely on the radar of the development team.

Ever since the IdeaStation forums were retired and due to concerns with revenue recognition most of Autodesk doesn't share public roadmaps. I agree it would be useful but for now it's not something we are doing.

Thanks Jorge. I totally get it -- BUT -- it is completely customer unfriendly.

<rant>
You want to boost revenue, tell your customers (and potential customers) you care about them and you are listening to them and you are meeting their needs. Being secretive about core capability is a very short-sighted, narrow minded, stock holder focused approach to product development IME (unless you are Apple of course). Especially given the long distinguished list of customer unfriendly things Autodesk has done in the past.

For the record, I'd like to remind each and every one of them who pays their salaries -- it's not the stock holders and market cap, it's the revenue generating customers like us.
