One hand doesn't know what the other is doing....

No, I'm not referring to support not knowing what's going on at development.
I am referring to the fact that INSPECTOR does not agree with the manufacturing preview and the actual state of my board.

Board size is incorrect in INSPECTOR.
Also, the number of pads is incorrect.

Sent to support, Case number 19010939

Hi @jesper8W75R

I hope you are doing well!

The Dimension value in the inspector is not the 'CAM board size'.

It shows the size of the whole board. You can drag any part out of the board and then check the value in Inspector.

Another issue for the pads number. You may miss the PTH pad in the CAM dialog. Please expand the Drills to check the PTH number. The number of smd pads and PTH pads should equal the value in Inspector.

Hope it can help!

I already figured this out and reported back to support, who then closed the case, despite these issues.

No, it does not show the size of the whole "board". It shows the size of ANY polygon edge you might have dragged out over the dimension edge. Something that basically everyone does, to make GND fill on the boards top and bottom layer.
That size is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT for anything. It's the size of nothing, as there IS no board there.

And yes, the Inspector calculates SMD pads PLUS THT pads, whereas the CAM preview calculates these as two different thing.
WHY do you have to make everything so unbelievable inconsistent and confusing?

Again, and excuse/explanation from you to cover up the weird thinking in the design.
I consider this a bug, or, at least in best case, an extremely bad user interface / lead text.
