Multiple choice of components on the PCB.

Multiple choice of components on the PCB.

The problem is that when a schematic contains a large number of components, it is very difficult to find components that belong to a specific part of the schematic.
For example, I want to trace part of the circuit as shown. How can I select multiple components so that they become active on the board, so that I can move them to a convenient location for routing?

I tried to use the "Show" command. And the components on the PCB are highlighted, but when I try to move them, the selection disappears.

Can you tell me how to quickly select several components on the PCB by highlighting them in the schematic?

When you use the show command and have the components selected, activate the move command and right-click, go to Move: Group. This should allow you to move the parts away from the larger group and rearrange them into a cleaner layout.

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope this message finds you well. @ritste20 gave a good suggestion. Another option would be to form a group on the schematic and then go Automate > ULP(the orange one) and run the select-sch-group-to-brd-group.ulp this will transfer the group to the board with the move command active. Hold ctrl+ Right click one of the group members and you'll be able to move the group wherever you want.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

@ritste20 Thanks for your reply. I tried but as soon as I perform any action in the PCB window, for example "move" the selection disappears.

@jorge_garcia Thanks for your reply. That's what I was looking for. Please tell me where can I learn more about the "automat" possibilities?

Hi @Anonymous,

The various ULPs have their documentation built-in, when you click on the ULP icon and you look at the list of ulps a single-click on one will show it's documentation on the bottom of the window.

If you want to learn more about the ULP language that will be in the Fusion help.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
