More pins than pads in component creation

Hi

In the current component I'm creating, I've got more pins than pads. This is because it's a board, which I'm putting on the PCB, but I would like it to show in the schematic as only one component. Is this possible, or do I have to resort to separating it, making two components,  and making so only one of them have a footprint?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi @jakobtPG23B ,

I have a feeling you have not made the symbol correctly. If you are treating the board as a component then your symbol should only contain the pins that connect to your current PCB. For this example, the symbol should only contain the header pins.

Does that makes sense?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
