Lost electronics library but project still had the parts.

I made a new library for a electronics project I was working on. The library only had about 5 parts in it.  Once I was at the PCB layout I realized I need to the adjust the footprint of a part.  I went back to the library and adjusted the part. Upon saving the library I closed it and went back to the project to update it and it gave the dialog box that there was to update from the library. So, I went back to the library and it was gone from the folder I saved it in.  It pops up in recent projects for a seconds then disappears.  The project still has the parts from the library but the library cant be accessed or found in both the library manager and data panel.  I've since deleted everything and have decided to start over but the library still pops up in the recent projects folder for a second then disappears.  I guess I'm not looking for an answer as much as a if I possibly did something wrong or was it a bug?  There is also no data recovery file.  Any insight would be much appreciated!

Hi @lee.a.tru,

I'm not 100% sure what might have happened, with that said you can extract the library from the design itself by going to the Library menu > Export Libraries.

Do you know where you saved the library? If you right click on a component and select open Device in Library does the library open up?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
