Lost data - saved data is also gone

When pushing to the 3D viewer, Fusion 360 suddenly crashed. Normally this is not an issue, because we save about every 10 minutes or so. The version fusion showed was also 45. After the crash the data seams to be gone. The revision is back to 18. Is there a way to backup the data? Is it saved locally in the appdata folder? Is there a way to get financial compensation for the 4 hours we have lost, if the data cannot be savaged?

Can you collect your log files and share them here? What do you see on Fusion Team (the web view of Fusion)?

Cheers,

Karina

We see the same versions as in the application. Can you please help us urgently. This has happened twice yesterday. Also on different PCs. We cannot continue our work. Because of the fear of losing everything we have lost. Please come with a solution today.

Do you have the name of one of the files that was lost? That will help me locate the area in the logs.

Cheers,

Karina

So, I see the 'Schematic' file is at version 39 and the 'PCB' is at 18, and they were both recovered after the crash around 4:45 on 10-26.

In the local cache, I see the following is accessible:

PCB.fbrd - version 18

PCB.f3d - version 12

schematic.fsch - version 39

In the logs, I am not seeing the data getting saved any higher than those.

Cheers,

Karina

Ok, so there is no way to recover the data we have lost. When will the cause of the crash will be fixed? It seems like an urgent issue.

Well, my point regarding the versions capping out at 18/29/39, is that you wouldn't have seen them get any higher than that in Fusion - unless it was on a different computer, it would have shown in the logs. A new version only occurs when a save happens. There may have been some autosaves in the meantime, in which case you *should* have had a crashrecovery file afterwards, which maybe that failed.

As for the crash - the most recent one I see from your email is from 10/17 and appears to be a sketch related crash, but we do not have steps to reproduce the problem. If you are able to share a data set that reproduces the crash, I'd be happy to take a look and log it.

If you can, please leave a comment in the crash dialog about what happened just before the crash - that really helps us to identify the buckets.

Cheers,

Karina

At another pc we keep having crashes. The recovery files are never consistent. Using the DRC we are not capable to synchronize these. We want this to be fixed really soon.

If you can share one of the report numbers of a crash, I can start investigating the problem?

The file name is schematic current version is v48.

When trying to move port pins on a module, the system constantly crashes. This results in several popups with an error message.
