Link between SCH and PCB broken :-(

I've just started up Fusion360 and noted that my most recent schematic file was totally blank.  Not sure what had happened.

So, I opened up a previous version, and this appeared OK, so I simply promoted that one.

But of course now the linkage between the SCH and PCB files is broken.  So I exporter a netscript from the SCH and ran that script in the PCB, in the hope this would restore it.  Unfortunately things are still broken.

So, now my whole design is unusable as I can't get the SCH and PCB linked and hence can't move forward with anything.

Can someone help me resolve this?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @Red_Ant_Engineering

I hope you are doing well! I‘m so sorry that you meet the issue.

Could do please use the ERC command to check the parts? Then you can delete the parts which is not in the schematic. It should make the sch and PCB link again.

Besides, do you meet any warning dialog like the attached screenshot during your working?

If you do, then it is a random known issue and has been tracked by our developers.

If you don't, the reason may be different. Then would you mind exporting the electronic file to us then our developer can figure out the reason of your issue.  You can send the file to me. I will send my email address to you as a private message.

Hi @panpan_fan

I've got the issue resolved now.  The problem started when Fusion360 basically cleaned out the most up-to-date version of my schematic (the file was completely empty!).

I then promoted a previous version, but of course this was incompatible with the PCB file, so I had to go through and manually change all the packages in the schematic, and then update some of the packages in the PCB until the link was working again.  Took me about 1/2hr to get things functioning, which was frustrating.

I'm not sure if its related, but I'm seeing all sorts of warning messages popping up within Fusion 360 at the moment, most of them mentioned the fact that packages in my library are out of date compared Fusion Teams or something along those lines.  Has there been some sort of update on the Autodesk servers that might be upsetting my connectivity?

Cheers,

Mike
