Launch Fusion directly to Electronics Workspace

Hi,
I hope you are doing well upon receiving my message today.  I wanted to remind you that you can change the preference in Autodesk Fusion to launch directly to the electronic workspace. From the Preferences dialog box, set your default document to Electronic Design. From now on, launching Fusion will launch directly on the electronic workspace.

Although launching Fusion360 in the electronics workspace does work, I am still not happy with it.
As stated in This comment in July 2023 opening an existing electronics document will not close the initial unsaved document, which will automatically open when starting Fusion360.

I don't even get why Fusion360 opens a new document every time. Do you really think that I start with a new project every time I start Fusion?

Hi @lars.jepkens,

I hope you're doing well. I made a ticket out of your comment and that is being worked on. It's not that we think you start a new project every time you start Fusion, that would be a pretty bad assumption to make.

The problem here is similar to what happens if you move into somebody else's house. You have to live by the owner's rules. Electronics came into Fusion, and Fusion has a requirement that it can never have a null state, something always has to be open. That's why you always have either a mechanical design or an electronics design open when you first start Fusion.

We are working on fixing the behavior so it closes just like the default mechanical design closes when you open one of your own files.
