Keepout zone on bottom is not recognized

Hi,

i need a zone across a hole only on the bottom side of the PCB where no traces or copper is placed.

I added a polygon on the layer "40 bKeepout" as you can see here:

But as you can see the blue trace is going through this zone only following the standard distance from the hole. Also DRC is not showing any warning concerning this. As you can see I also placed a circle as a keepout which is also not recognised.

Is there an other way to place keepout zones ? Do i have also to place a polygon on the restricted layer ?

Thank you

Hi @xpuipc

thanks for post. The Keepout layers are for minimum distances between components It's taken for the courtyard which is the minimal "reserved" area for the component. No two courtyards should overlap.

If you want to have no copper in a restricted area, you have to use the Restrict layers. Draw for example a RECT in bRestrict and you will see that the ROUTE command or polygons will avoid this area in bottom layer.
