Invisible Lists in Library Editor Content Manager

For some reason, whenever I create/open a library, the lists on the left side that shows the symbols, footprints, devices, and packages and the box below that both appear as white boxes. Additionally, when I hover my mouse over the top box, I can get it to change my mouse pointer's shape, which leads me to believe it would be a rendering issue. I tried restarting Fusion 360 several times and even restarting my Mac, but none of these simple fixes corrected the problem. I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong and how to fix it, or if it is just a bug with Fusion that is out of my control. If it helps, I'm on a 2017 MacBook Pro with a touch bar running macOS Catalina 10.15.4 and Fusion 360 2.0.8156. I also attached a screenshot and video recording of this happening in a library that was just created using File > New Electronics Library. The screenshot just shows the problem, while the attached video recording shows the weird properties it has on my mouse.

As an update, doing a reinstall according to the instructions here did not change anything. However, it did work on a Mac Mini running an older version of Catalina.

Doing some further testing, I've got a better set of steps to reproduce the problem: Open Fusion 360 while a Sidecar display is connected, then create an electronics library. It is important that it is a sidecar display, not an HDMI display, but it does not seem to matter if it is connected wired or wirelessly. I would test to see if it is just the specific model of IPad, but I don't have any others easily available to me. All that I know is that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro (1st iPad Pro generation) does cause the issue. For now, what seems to work for me is just disconnecting the iPad while starting Fusion, then connecting it back again once Fusion is up and running.

To be clear, this issue, when active, completely breaks the library editing process. It seems to affect the content manager panel and the part generator panel. While it may have a simple workaround and only apply to a few people, the workaround is very obscure and I consider myself lucky to have found it. Since it does have a workaround, I am not asking that it be fixed immediately, but I would like if it is put on the list of things to look into.

Has there been any official acknowledgement of this issue yet?

This issue still persists after updating to Fusion 360 2.0.8335.

Experimentation update: The issue persists when my MacBook is connected to an Apple TV over AirPlay, but the issue does not appear when a 2012 Mac Mini (same OS version) is connected to the same Apple TV. I would test the Mac Mini with Sidecar, but it is too old to support Sidecar.

Hello @everettac ,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Could you please try to launch Fusion before connecting to sidecar display devices? Hope it helps.

Regards,

Helen

As I said in post #3, that is what I have been doing as a workaround. I have found that as long as the sidecar display is disconnected during the initialization process, the bug does not occur even after connecting the display.

Do you know of any logs I might be able to provide to help narrow down the issue?
