Importing netlist or netscript in Schematic Editor

Hi,

I want to import netlist or netscript in my schematic.

Can anyone suggest how to do this ?

Hi @deepak_elango,

 

I hope you're doing well. Importing a netlist is possible but it's will require some work. Basically, prior to importing the netlist you have to pre-place all of the components and make sure their reference designators are the same as what is being called out in the netlist.

 

Are you doing this to try to get data from another tool in? Unfortunately in the ECAD industry import/export is a difficult task because everyone keeps their files formats secret. Commercially, I believe we are the only ones that have an open file format in XML, open source tools keep their file formats public.

 

If you can give me some insight into what you are trying to achieve I might be able to find a better solution for you.
