I need to create a pcb that has no components

I am making a pcb which is 12 concentric circles with gaps and has capcitive strips on the second layer. With no components, how can I import the design of the pcb created in Illustrator and produce the files required for the pcb mfg?

You can see the design in the attached files.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I hope you're doing well. Very nice, if you can get DXF export out of Illustrator then you can use that to bring the design into Fusion 360.

See if you can get a DXF out of illustrator and we can go from there.

Thank you Jorge,

Yes, I have DXF files, actually one file for each layer. I tried to attach the files here, but it said the files didn't match the file extension and removed them.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I hope you're doing well. Did you try importing the DXF files into the Fusion Electronics 2D PCB editor? You can bring in the DXF files using the import-dxf ulp. The ULP will only bring in the outlines you can right click on the outlines and convert them to polygons from there.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

You need to put the DXF files in a zip folder to post them to the forum. There are other common file extensions that aren't supported for direct upload so a .zip folder usually does the trick.
