How to free rotate the components with mouse

I'm placing the LEDs to make some words on the PCB now, and I know only how to rotate the components with the inspector menu on the side panel.

I think, it will be easier and faster if the components can be rotated by mouse.

Is there any advice for me?

@hw4RTB9 ,

You can do it in 3D PCB environment. Push your design to 3D PCB and then using 3D move command to adjust the position of the components:

@yqliu here is an idea.

Allow users to use the pattern and joint tools to define the location of components.

Allow us to create a 2D sketch and use joints to assemble components to sketch elements.

The grid based workflow is fine for routing and placing "normal" components, however for use cases like this the grid based workflows are quite out of date.

@TrippyLighting ,in general I agree it will be helpful to make good use of the sketch and assembly tools for electronics design. We are improving the experience on both 2D and 3D sides. In last September release, we added the new pattern command in electronics editors. We also implemented sketch inferencing system for electronics. Improving the move command in 3D PCB environment is something we are discussing now.
