How do I indicate a component is not fitted

I think the title says everything, but to reiterate, I am want to be able to mark certain components as do not fit, 

How is this done/ handled in fusion 360?

Hello @maxwell123b,

I hope this message finds you well. This is handled using Assembly variants. In the schematic, type VARIANT in the CLI and press enter.

This will pop up the Variants dialog. By default you always have a default variant which has everything populated. You can create a new variant(s) and each variant will allow you to configure what components are fit and which are not.
