How can I import the contents of a brd file into an existing brd file?

Good day everyone!

Given two finished plans. For example: A.sch + A.brd and B.sch + B.brd.

I want a hybrid solution from this.

I want to put part of A in B so I don't have to replan the routes in the brd file.

Previously on Eagle, this was "Import Eagle ..." and it worked well.

There you could import an existing * .brd file into an existing one. At this time, the program also imported the * .sch file independently. Then I deleted the unnecessary parts. This saved me a lot of time and I didn’t have to re-plan a well-proven route anymore.

(It was easier for me to delete the excess than to redesign the part needed.)

Copying is not a good solution now, because I can only do it in * .sch, but then I have to re-plan the routes in * .brd.

Is there a solution to this?

Thanks in advance for the answer!

Hi @Anonymous ,

I hope you're doing well. We are working on bringing this functionality into Fusion360, but it's not available yet. This is one of the few things from EAGLE that hasn't made it into Fusion 360 yet.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hi @Anonymous Garcia,

Thanks for the quick response!

I'm glad this feature won't be discontinued and will be introduced in Fusion!

I wish you and the development team more good work!
