Hi there,

The net highlight issue has resurfaced again making it difficult to identify the net while working with 2D PCB Edit.

Please fix the same again as early as possible.

Hi @qadriizhar

I hope you are doing well!

I am not sure if I understand your question well.

For the highlight color, we can change the highlight color manually.

Please have a try to see if it works well for you.

Or if I misunderstand your question, please describe the steps in detail.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @panpan_fan,

Thanks for the information. It is highlighting when individual nets are selected, but when we select it through the design manager tab, it remains the same, no change in color whatsoever.

I tried adjusting the highlight intensity from the "Darker and Brighter range bar" under Preferences > Electronics > Color > Highlight. But nothing happens, Top Layer Red and the Bottom Layer Blue, they both remain as it is.

Earlier it was an issue but after some updates the issue was resolved. And now it is back in this latest update.

I am attaching a screenshot wherein you can see the the VCC+ signal is selected under Design Manager but the Net is not highlighted.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Ok I think I got it. Earlier when we used to single click on Signals in the design manager list, it used to get highlight.

But now we have to right click on the Signal from the list and click "SELECT IN EDITOR" option and then it highlights properly. Attaching a screenshot hereby.

I think the earlier option was better and faster when editing multiple nets. The nets used to get highlighted just by single clicking the net on the list. Now we have an additional step of right clicking and then selecting the "SELECT IN EDITOR" option.

@panpan_fan There is a related bug, which I have talked to Helen about.
If you right-click and select "Show" on a net, it does not work, if you do it again. You have to do it twice.
Same with most other right-click commands.
I understand that the "workaround" (which is actually faster), is to use left click after you have "started" the Show functionality.
That makes sense, but it should also work the other way.

Hi @qadriizhar

Thanks for attaching your screenshot.

I guess I know the reason now.

Please click the 'Select On Board' icon which I mark in the screenshot and try the select again.

Then it should work well.
