Gerber Output has unknown pads & drills

Hey friends,

I am facing an odd situation here. The gerbers generated using standard CAM job file is generating gerbers with additional pads and drills in the layout as shown in the image below. The additional pads and drills are not to be seen anywhere in the Fusion 360 PCB design even after showing all layers and also was not visible in the Gerber preview window build-in Fusion 360. I have also tried saving the design as a new file and generating again. Tried it on multiple systems as well with the same issue. Has anyone else also faced such a problem ??

Note: I have tried multiple gerber viewers as well to verify the issue. The gerber output looks corrupted with new elements.

FYI: I am using the following Fusion 360 version:

2.0.8809
Active Plan: Fusion 360, Subscription
macOS 10.15.6

Curious if this issue was solved. I am seeing some unknown drills in my Gerber output as well, but with a much newer version of F360:

2.0.11894
Active Plan: Fusion 360, Subscription
Windows 10 Pro 21H1 x86_64 (19043.1415)

Can you please attach the Gerber-Files. Examinig these files would help to find the issue (different origins, wrong format "," instead of ".", ...)

See Gerber Export Dateien fehlerhaft (It's Eagle and it's german, sorry)

m.neujahr_at_moe -- Thank you for your interest. Since this is a commercial project, I am reluctant to post the entire set of Gerbers publicly. I am in the US and my Windows is set to US "." decimal format. The drill file is attached. I am relatively new to Fusion360 and eCAD, so it is likely there is a simple explanation for the behavior, but I am stumped.

Hi @LloydTravisSmith ,

One thing I would recommend to check is to specify the file format in your geber viewer. If I recall correctly the files we export by default use a 3.3 absolute mm format. If you specify that in your gerber viewer for all of the files you should find that the weird scaling and locations issues go away.

Additionally, I would recommend that you download a gerber viewer like Viewmate by pentalogix. I've used a lot of different gerber viewers and Viewmate has never given me a false result, I can't say that about any other gerber viewer I have used.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Looks like the default setting is 3.4 precision and 3.3 is not possible:

I installed Viewmate and the PCB looks fine, even though the same file is a
mess in the DKRed viewer on the DigiKey site. It would be a shame not to be
able to use the DkRed service since it is convenient and economical.

Hi @LloydTravisSmith ,

I hope you're doing well. It's likely that it's just there online gerber viewer that's faulty, the service is likely just fine and will produce suitable boards. If the board is small it might be worth taking the risk and ordering them even if the online viewer looks weird.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
