Fusion crashes after I attempt to open a schematic

If I try to open the schematic of any of my projects Fusion displays an error window displaying " A Software problem has caused Fusion to close unexpectedly". There is an option to get "Report Details" or "Send Report". After clicking "Send Report", Fusion closes. This is Fusion 2.0.18441 x86_64 running on Windows 11 Home 22H2. This was working before the latest update. I have tried "Repair", "Reset" , Uninstall/Reinstall. Rebooted PC, still have the same problem? Can someone help?

Its me again...with an update: I loaded Fusion on a different PC with the same Windows 11 OS. Fusion appears to work fine on that PC.

Hi @dguzman,

I hope you're doing well. @HelenChen-AutodeskQA Would you be able to look into the crash reports for this user? It definitely seems specific to the machine.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi @dguzman ,

So sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Seems there is no crash report about this, but it reminds Fusion cannot be launched completely.

Do you mind take a screenshot about that dialog? And meanwhile please open the task manager to see how's the RAM usage of Fusion 360 when it pops up such error?

Could you please download the Fusion log files to us? You could attach it here or Private Message me.

After that please restart your Win11 and then delete the Autodesk Fusion 360 folder via below path and then launch Fusion 360 to try again.

C:\Users\[YOUR OS ACCOUNT NAME]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360

Hope it helps a little.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Best regards,

Helen

Hello Helen,

RAM usage when Fusion crashes is less than 10%.

I deleted the Autodesk Fusion 360 file as you indicated, and restarted Fusion. Tried to open a schematic, and Fusion crashed. No fix.

Attached are the files your requested, from yesterday.

Hi @dguzman ,

Much appreciated for your feedback.

I checked the crash reports and I will forward back to our development team to have a look.

Because all of the schematic file cannot be opened in that specified Win11, so firstly I suspect there might be some special setting is incorrect in that machine.

Do you mind download the latest VC redistributable version to install in that Win11 and restart machine to have a try again?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Hello Helen,

Interesting observation. As a matter of fact, I have also installed another application on the same PC (Labview) at about the same time Fusion was updated. I was able to open schematics before the Fusion update, but since I also installed Labview (which also tinkers with a lot of the settings in the PC) now I could not tell what settings got messed up, and which software did it.

Since I have Fusion working on another PC, and I need Labview for a job next week, I am not going to tinker with WIN11 settings. I do not want to brake Labview.

So for the time being, I will use the other PC for my Fusion jobs.

Hi @dguzman ,

Thank you so much for your sharing.

We will wait for your work on Labview is completed to follow up with you again. Hope install the latest VC distributable version could solve the issue for you after that.

Best wishes for your job next week!

Hope you have a great day.

Best regards,

Helen
