Fusion 360 Crashing on Start Up

I have been off work for a week.

I came back and tried to open Fusion 360 a half dozen times, only to see this dialog box every time.

Is Fusion 360 down again?

@RCBakerBorn Can you please submit these reports and you should get a report ID. please paste the report ID here.

Also, you can run the Fusion service utility and run a repair Fusion 360 to see if that helps.

@RCBakerBorn Looks like a permission error. Can you follow the guidelines from this article?

These are the current security settings. It looks like there is full access for everyone.

@RCBakerBorn The logs shows that you are on build 2.0.16265 which is from last year. Can you please do the below for me?

1. Close Fusion 360
2. Delete the shortcut that you are using to launch Fusion 360 (Important)
3. Go to Add/remove Programs - Select Fusion 360
4. Modify
5. This will launch the Fusion service utility
6. Uninstall Fusion 360/Re-install Fusion 360
7. This will take you to the latest version
8. This will also generate a new shortcut that you can use for launching the program

This should take you to the latest 2.0.16490 and this should get you moving forward.

Hey Rajkumar,

I deleted the shortcut

I went to Add/Remove programs/Fusion 360, and clicked on Modify

The Service utility opened

I only see Uninstall Fusion 360 in the service utility

There is no Uninstall/Install in the service utility

Will Fusion 360 automatically install when uninstall is done?

I tried Uninstall from the Fusion 360 Service utility Menu and it says (not responding)

Then when i click again, it asks if I want to close the program.

I clicked on the wait for program to respond several times and it keeps popping back up. So I close it.

When I try to do that is also says not responding. Then it repeats the same dialog box as trying to uninstall.

@RCBakerBorn One more thing to try out is to restart the machine and then do the repair. Wondering if there are multiple exes running in the background. If this does not work, then I have another option to try out.

So the program is uninstalled. But no auto install.

Do we download fresh from Autodesk's website?

@RCBakerBorn The repair does an automatic install as well. If you have manually uninstalled then yes you have to install the product again.
