F/B Annotation is not available

Hello,

I have a schematic on Fusion 360 Electrical; I converted it to the PCB Document and arranged PCB. When I save and close out of it and then try to re open it, I get the error of F/B annotation is not available. I even tried having both the schematic and PCB open at the same time. When I click the PCB Document, I get a warning message "Please open or create electronics drawing to continue" but I already have it open. Not sure why this is happening, and this is a repeating error in multiple schematic/boards.

Thanks,

Sanjida

Hi @san.cho

Make sure that you have created a "Electronics Design" and that you reference to the PCB and schematic.

After creating the eleectronics design you need to set reference to PCB and Schematics:

If there is still problems check for errors (DRC). If will show you why. It will not be possible to annotate if the schematic and PCB are not matching.

Hi Sanjida,

Thank you for participating on the Fusion 360 electronics forum, it is a pleasure to hear from you.  The answer provided to you earlier are correct. In Fusion 360 you will need to first create an Electronic Document then select then link the schematic and board. Electronic document keeps control annotation between Board, Schematic, and 3DPCB.

We made a short video tutorial and published a blog regarding this topic.

With Warm Regards,

Ed

Thank you so much! I was able to correct my drawings! The problem was that I was making separate schematic and separate board drawings.
