Hi,
Sometimes I have component that I don't want to see in BOM, like test points.
How to tell F3E - don't include that component in BOM?
Thanks!

Hi @silvio3105
I hope you are doing well!
For Exclude component from BOM, you can create variant firstly and then uncheck the parts you don't want to show.
And then you need to select the variant you make when you Save BOM file
Please have a try to see if it works for you.

Hi @silvio3105
Would you mind describing more about the workflow you want?
I will bring it to the develop team to see if we can do some improvement for it.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @silvio3105 ,
So just to clarify the default BOM ulp (that's what the current system uses) will exclude any devices that don't have packages and if my memory serves any devices that don't have copper in their packages. So supply symbols are automatically excluded, as well as logos that are just on silkscreen.
This feature will likely be implemented once we have a built-in BOM system and are no longer reliant on the BOM ulp. I'll log it.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
+1 for a component "NO BOM" option
I have a couple packages with no copper ... ie silkscreen only for location markers that show up in the bom and I manually strip them later.
Layer ladder, and the pcb name in copper do have copper but no actual parts ... so end up stripping them from the bom later as well.
For arguments sake I do have variants, so unticked the population option for all of these. Result is that the BOM is clean, but printing the Variant schematic I have a whole bunch of large "X" through the schematic symbols for those elements ... which isn't accurate either.

Hi @gwagnerJXG2J,
I'll add your comments to the existing request for improved functionality in the electronics BOM.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
