Duplicating Footprints

I am trying to make a series of components with different offsets for the leads.

When I duplicate a footprint rename the footprint and make the necessary adjustments all the changes seem to be copied to the footprint I made the duplicate from.

I have tried saving the library after making the duplicate but the original still takes the changes.

Am I missing something? As it stands this duplicate feature seems useless...

The only workaround I see is to make every footprint from scratch (very time consuming not CAD)

I had the same yesterday. After a bit editing the orginal and the duplicate and saving between it was working.

Weird bug.

Hi @Rollmop @mathias.obetzhauser @HelenChen-ElectronicsQA

I just tried to duplicate a footprint and it seems to work correctly with the new release now.

Best regards,
