DIFFICULT SEEING A TRACE ON BOTTOM LAYER WHILE ROUTING

WHEN I LAY A TRACE ON THE TOP LAYER OF A PCB, THE OUTLINE OF THE TRACE IS BLUE TO HELP WITH THE VISUAL WHEN ROUTING THE TRACE.

HOWEVER, WHEN LAYING A TRACE ON THE BOTTOM LAYER, THERE IS NO OUTLINE. EVERYTHING STAYS BLUE SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PHYSICALLY SEE THE TRACE AS I TRY TO ROUTE.

I AM WORKING WITH A FOUR LAYER PCB DESIGN.

IN A 2-LAYER PCB DESIGN, USING EAGLE, I DID NOT EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE.

Have you tried turning off the layers that you are not using? When routing, I usually turn off as much as possible and just leave dimension, unrouted, pads, vias, and maybe a few other on. It helps me to get rid of the distractions.

I WILL TRY THIS. THANK YOU FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE.

THIS WORKED.
I'VE ACCEPTED THE SOLUTION BUT A "WOULD BE NICE" FEATURE WOULD BE TO AUTOMATE THIS IN THE FUTURE.
THANK YOU!

Hi @RCBakerBorn,

I hope you're doing well. The weird thing is that routing on the top gets you a blue color. Could you post an image of what you are seeing?

In addition to what @michael.walach72K5A mentioned, if you have any polygons filled in hide them. That will make routing much easier.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
