Hello,

I have searched for a way to change the description of the library but without success. I can change it in Eagle but I want to know how to change it in Fusion 360. I have attached an image to show what field I want to change.

Thank you

Hello @Anonymous ,

Hope all is well.

I just realized that you are able to add the description of the library by typing description in the command line, this could meet your requirement.

Hope it helps.

Hi @Anonymous ,

At the moment this is the only way to change the description of a library. I think Helen will forward this to the team for an improvement for the future.

Sometimes it opens description dialog for selected device/footprint/symbol, not for whole library. Not sure how to deselect selected, so I have to reopen library.

Hi @silvio3105 ,

It does not inconvenient... Sorry about this.

Currently the workaround should be reopen the library and not selected any other footprint, symbol, device, but just go to add the description for library directly.

I'll log a ticket to track this.

Thank you very much for letting us know.

Helen

Hi @Anonymous , @silvio3105,

Hope all is well.

Yesterday we released new Fusion version 2.0.15291 which has an improvement for the issue you reported.

Now you could open the library > Click the Info icon in the Content Manager > Right click the Description to Edit the description for library.

You can do this no matter whether the symbol or footprint is opened for the library.

Hope it helps and hope you have a great day!
