Deleted holes from PCB 2d workspace not updated in PCB 3d Workspace

I removed a connector from my project.  The connector was deleted from the 2d workspace as it should, but when deleted the holes remained.  I deleted the holes in the 2d space manually, but when I pushed to the 3d PCB workspace, the connector was gone but not the holes. I have tried everything that I can think of to delete these holes in but have had no luck.  If someone has some insight to this behavior I would like to hear about it.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @m_walczak

I hope you are doing well!

From your description, I guess it maybe a known issue and the fix will be in the next release build.

I will keep your updated when the new build is released. Then you can have a try to see if this issue is fixed.

And it will be greate if you are willing to send me your files to let me check in advance. If you want to do that, you can send me the files (My email account panpan.fan@autodesk.com).

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards

Panpan Fan

Panpan,

I have figured out what the issue is and it is a bug.  The problem is when you delete a hole or any feature on the pcb, the underlying sketch is not updated.  If you open the PCB sketch and remove the hole or feature then the 3d and 2d pcb will reflect that change.  This is the work around until Autodesk fixes the problem. This is cumbersome and slow.

While I have figured out that issue I discovered another.  This time it is with the footpart when it is created.  The problem here is that you in the library editor you create a pad and it is one size, but once it is place it is larger in the 2d and 3d PCB.   I would send pictures but I have worked around it and I don't want to lose what I have. But to say this least this is a frustrating one also.

Hi @m_walczak

Sorry again.

For the 'Delete Holes' issue, I think it seems like a known issue and should have been fixed in the next release.

If you want, you can export the whole Electronic Design as f3z and then send to me (panpan.fan@autodesk.com). I can double check if it is fixed using the internal build.

For the 'Size' issue, you can also export the whole Electronic Library as .lbr file and then send to me. It seems like a new issue. If I can reproduce it with your file, I will report it to our develop team to track.

All your data will only be used to internal testing.

Thanks!

Hi,

Won't be able to send you the library.  I have a work around and I don't want to put the library back to the way I found it.   Too risky.  Besides when I make a change in the library it is not pushed through to the PCB or the schematic.  The only why I can update the schematic and the pcb is to delete the part on the schematic and then add it back.  Kind of frustrating.  If you know what I am doing wrong here that would be a help.

Hi @m_walczak

For the previous issues, I understand your concern. And I will keep you updated when we release new build and then you can see if you still meet same issues when you use Fusion 360.For the update library issue, you can go to the LIBRARY Tab in schematic or PCB editor and then click Update Library icons here.

Please have a try, thanks!
