Has anyone else experinced crashing? Fusion 360 Electronics crashes on my all the time. I have been told to "save often". That is a crappy solution. How about you fix the **** software?
Do you have by any chance a Microsoft Surface Book? I had unexpected crashes all the time until I went to the Windows Power Plan settings and disabled PCI Express Link State Power Management.
No. I have an HP Probook. It's a little old. I started experiencing a lot of crashing after a recent update to Fusion 360.
Allow to apologize for the ferocity of my original comment. It was typed out after a frustrating experince trying to figure out and understand the way annular rings are determined. So, my apologies to the group. I was unprofessional.
Hello @anthonyEX9NB,
Don't worry, no harm no foul. I responded to your thread about annular rings. I hope my comments are useful to you.
Now in regards to the crashes(I assume you are still experiencing them). Do you notice any pattern? If you can give an idea of what you are doing when the crash happens that can help us start to figure this out.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
Unfortunately, the crashes seem to happen at random, or random enough that I can't determine a pattern. Sometimes the crashes are good crashes in the sense that the program asks me to send a log file, which I do. Other crashes are bad crashes where the software just hangs and after waiting a long time (minutes) for something to happen, and when nothing does, I have to terminate the software and restart it.
Hello @anthonyEX9NB,
OK, in a DM send me your Autodesk account email. I'll ask the QA team to see if that can check out the crash reports you have logged for any clues of what could be going on.
What OS are you using? Are you under any special network restrictions that we should be aware of?
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
how do I DM you, Jorge?
I'm using Wondows 11. No, I don't believe there are any special networks issues.
Hello @anthonyEX9NB,
I hope you're doing well. Hover over my name here on the forums you'll see the option to send a direct message to me.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
Anthony you are not alone and if one searches for crashes many similar messages come up. In my experience, the QA and support teams do their best to help but the underlying issue is that the software is not mature and is way too buggy for commercial use. Someone in the Fusion Electronics management team really should focus the team on identifying and fixing bugs. Eagle was very reliable, even regular Fusion 360 works fine, but electronics is not ready for prime time.
