I'm about had to up to here.....

Fusion crashed (for the 3rd or 4th time today).
But this time, I was creating a new device, with a very complex footprint, that had taken hours to make.
Then, when saving the library... BANG!!!! CRASH!!!

And when I restarted, there WERE NO FILES TO RECOVER!
This means I have to start all over again.

Who's going to pay for the lost hours??
As others, I am beginning to think if there is some legal action to take.
I'm tired of being your alpha tester.

This is ridiculous, that you cannot fix this joke of a program.
It crashes continuously, in all different ways.
I can 100% say, this is the worst piece of crap program I have been using for the last 10-15 years.
Admittedly, it works well, when it works.

But it is just too darn dangerous to do any commercial work with it.

previous to this, my projects didn’t show any more in the data panel (my libraries, which reside in the “libraries” project folder are still there - those were in focus over night. in the morning when i returned all worked w/o problems until i hit the home button and saw the other projects were gone. the teams web location still shows the projects, though. after this, i wanted to quit but then fusion crashed.
7nov23: FE crashed shortly after the “cannot close until jobs in progress complete” message popped up when I quit the program. Report ID 728439171
7nov23: upon right click on symbol in schematic, FE crashed. report ID 728354850

I have not had much time on FE since the latest update. But no crashes so far. Only the usual unusability 🙂

Normal bugs…
- the two about polygons were the latest (forum posts yesterday and today).

guido

Hi @dev2EP8UX ,

Thank you very much for your fast feedback.

So sorry for any inconvenience!

A quick feedback that we put a fix about auto-save random crashes in Nov 30th, could you please upgrade to latest Fusion version 2.0.17954 and see whether things are getting much better now?

P.S I checked the crash reports you shared above, the latest one was sent out on Nov 28, which was before our latest release on Nov 30. Suppose it's better now?

We got other users feedback that the new version works well for them now.

So sorry for any inconvenience again.

For other issues, we will follow up separately.

Thank you very much for your understanding and patience.

Best regards,

Helen

Helen, thanks. Yes, like I said, I had upgraded to 2.0.17954 and have not had crashes since - but I also have not worked on it much. I'll report back if that changes.
