connect to pins without drawing a net

Is it possible in Fusion 360 Electronics to connect 2 pins without drawing a net? My situation is that I have 88 comparators that all need their non-inverting pin connected to an individual header. Trying to get those all connected without accidentally merging 2 nodes is proving a challenge. Is there a way to create some type of virtual connection without drawing the net explicitly?

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. You do have to draw nets for each connection. However, there is a way to simplify your work.

Remember that connections are defined by net name so you don't have to make a point to point connection. Just draw a stub on one end name it, and then repeat on the other connecting point.

This can be sped up leveraging the command line in Electronics. Here's the procedure:

1. Activate the NET command by clicking the NET icon.
2. Click on the command line and type the name you want the net to have for example TEST.
3. When you draw the net it will have this name.
4. For every net you want to draw you have to repeat step 2, which is annoying but it should be easier than drawing point to point connections.

There maybe a few efficiencies to find but this is the first improvement that comes to mind.

Hello @DonYonce ,

I just tested it and it is working. If you look in the command dialog in Fusion you'll see that Autogenerated name now shows the name you entered in the CLI.

After you draw the stubs you can confirm they have the correct name by placing a label.

Please let me know if it's not working for you.
