Confused on changes within fusion electronics

Hello.  I created a fairly complex pcb about a year ago on fusion.  I haven't messed around within the electronics side much lately, but I wanted to create another pcb.  I am lost.  Apparently a lot has changed within the UI since early 2022.  I have watched several tutorial videos, but the interface is not exactly the same on most videos as with the current fusion setup and it is very confusing.  This makes them very difficult to follow.  I understand the basics of how to create one, but it is difficult to figure out what would seem to be simple editable features.

Simple procedures are taking me hours to figure out now.  I want to edit/change the pad size on a couple of components I have found in some of the libraries, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.  I have read to copy the component in to my personal library and then I can make changes, but I can't figure out how to copy a component in to my library.  Once I get it in there, do I change the dimensions of the pads with a dimension tool as you would find in a typical 3d design?  I haven't been in the electronics design portion in a while, but I am having a harder time figuring out the new interface than I did as a complete beginner a year ago.  It is a bit discouraging.  I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!

Hi @nickenglish8

I hope you are doing well!

Sorry for the confusion.

I think you have a lot of ways to copy component into your own library.

For example, you can choose Import option and selection the component you want to copy into your own library.

And if you want to change pad size in the footprint workspace, you can select the pad and then change size in the Inspector directly

You can have a try to see if they work well for you.

If you still have any questions, please let us know, thanks!
