Used imported footprints from Würth Elektronik for a USB-connector. Received the prototypes Today, and Fusion has shorted the connector shield to 5V withouth even throwing a DRC error

I don't know how to justify using Fusion Electronics anymore. It never ends. Bye Fusion Electronics. Hi KiCAD.

Hi @erik.hole ,

I hope this message finds you well. This is precisely the reason I don't rely on third party libraries and usually recommend users make their own. In this case the part has been made completely wrong and it has led to a flawed board. It falls on the designer to verify the accuracy of all the components used in the design. I understand your frustration(been there done that), but this can and does happen with every EDA tool. The best you can do at this point is chalk it up to experience and a lesson learned to only trust components you verify or make yourself.

Don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything I can help you with.

Best Regards,
