regarding the end of eagle, in the announcement outlined here https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Autodesk-EAGLE-Ann...

i just want to make sure i understand it correctly.

"June 7th, 2026:
EAGLE will no longer be available nor supported"

Does this mean you will not even be able to launch eagle? I mean there have not been any updates to eagle for several years so seems like its already not supported but are you actually going to intentionally cut peoples ability to use it?

thanks for your time

Hi @mtl_asm,

Thanks for reaching out. What this means is that after June 7th, 2026 you will no longer be able to download EAGLE and the licensing servers for EAGLE will be shut down.

I also note the announcement states again the faulty understanding by autodesk that the free version supports "an 80cm x 80cm board area." instead of the 80cm2 that it should be.

This should really be corrected and the announcement sent again before you get a flood of complaints again.

Hi @mike.lerwill,

It's been corrected, I don't know if the email will be sent out again but it has been corrected.

Thank you for the feedback.

Turning off the license servers is a bit of a kick in the teeth. Our company was evaluating moving over to Fusion 360 Electronics, but this has made us reconsider as Autodesk doesn't seem to be a reliable supplier. It changes the decision dynamics from, "we'll migrate when F360 gets good enough", to "F360 may never be good enough and there is a hard stop coming". It is also making me reconsider our commitment to the mechanical side of F360, since once we stop using EAGLE in favour of something non-Autodesk, the tight integration with the mechanical side is gone and we can look at alternatives there too.
