Can't add second schematic to Fusion 360 Electronics Design project (grayed out)

Hi,

I seem to be unable to add a second schematic to my electronics project. Why is that? Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to have multiple schematics in the same project?

Please see attached screenshot.

Thank you,

With Kind Regards,

Henrik Frisk

Hello @henrik.frisk,

I hope you're doing well. The Electronics design document is not where extra sheets are added. That is done directly in the schematic editor.

In the schematic editor, look at the bottom of the screen you'll see the sheets you have. Right click in the white empty space, in the context menu you'll see the option to add a new sheet.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thank you, now I get it.

One more thing, what would be the best way to go about a design with two different schematics with each having its own PCB?

Should I create two separate projects to achieve that, or is it possible to connect two schematic sheets within the same project to two different PCBs?

Thank you,

/Henrik

Hi @henrik.frisk

the electronics design supports only one schematic and one related board at the moment. So you would have to use two separate designs.

Has this changed since then??

Bump.

I'd like to be able to compose a board from multiple, live-referenced schematics, with a resync command (like updating changed libraries).
