Buggy defaults

Hi,

defaults are buggy. Even I set line width to 6mil, sometimes it still sets to 0.127mm. I'm sure I never set it to 0.127mm because I always use 6mil to lines in 2D PCB/footprint.

Hi @silvio3105,

I hope you're doing well. Check what you have your DRC and netclasses set to. Remember the Auto Set route width and drill setting we spoke about? If you have that check it will set the traces to match the DRC or netclass widths whichever one is larger. Double check if that's the case.

That's line for silkscreen in lib footprint editor, not in PCB editor.

Thanks for clarification. @panpan_fan Could you log this defect? The width setting should apply to lines as well. In the CHANGE command the Width parameter affects both traces and artistic lines so it would be normal to expect that to be the case here.

Why not have default for line in 2D PCB/Footprint, for line in schematic and for trace.

I have a quick try and the trace width setting also affects the line width.

The default setting has a rule that it will not work for the opening files when you change Default.

Would you mind closing the file and try it again when you have changed the Default setting?

But why one default value for two different object types(line and trace)?
