I received this error today when editing a PCB. I was just changing the layer of a few traces when it happened.

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble.
I think it's a known issue we are checking, but would you mind helping to share your board file and share the reproducible steps to us to have a double check to see whether they are same issue or not?
We need not complete board file, but only the board with limited problematic devices and airwire are enough if possible.
I will ping you in the Private Message to get the shared link for downloading the simple board file if possible.
