Automatically Generated Foot Print Creating a New Package Missing Thumbnail When Creating A New Device

Was carefully following along this nice video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqar0XWtFaY making something simple, a capacitor  all going well until 9:53 and I select "New" using the local option.  The foot print appears in the Create New Package dialog but the thumbnail for the component does not.  I see the component in my library as I should.  In place of the image of the capacitor, there is a message: "Error downloading thumbnail:  Wrong URN.  No asset ID defined"  retrying does nothing.

When I am on the Packages tab, I see the name and when I 2x click the 3d model shows up as expected.  Under that I see used in: one foot print, Description: inductor..., team urnurn:adsk.wipprod:fs.file:vf.GB...? version=1. type: package..all shown in the attachment.  All seems okay,  and I followed it exactly, famous last words of course.

Retried the whole thing a few times...but still the same.  Seemed like a nice simple one to try initially.

Also had watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlnHfN2xznk

A nice video, good detail, but the footprint part makes little sense when at least in theory it can be done automatically as described  in the first video, and is 100% accurate as well, other than that very well worth watching.

.

Thank you for your insight....put everything in a word doc due to 3 file limit...error I mentioned is at the end of the document, all the other screen shot show how things were set up following the video.

This is my first post, so I hope I followed everything okay as suppose to.

Thank you,

John

Hi @onthelevelinspectionllc ,

Some times the image doesn't immediately update. As long as the component shows up in the 3D model you are in good shape. Can you try using the component and let me know how that goes?
