Adding additional Attribute Line Item

Anonymous

Hello all

I have created a new device for a Diode in Fusion360 Electronics. I then added a set of custom attributes as shown in the screenshot.

How do I now add additional lines to these attribute setup, so I can add different parts / part numbers? In Eagle I saw a library doing this:

Hi @Anonymous

I hope this message finds you well. You can add new attribute item by clicking the "Attribute" icon in the Device toolbar, then click "New" button in the attribute dialog to create a new attribute item

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help.

Best regards,

Alina

I don't think the reply answered the question.

If I simply click the attribute box and click new then I can add another column, but I can't add another line. So for example I have a 555 timer chip using an 8-soic package, but I can have a LM55CM, or LM55CM/NOPB, or LM555CMX. Each one of these is a different part, but fall under the category of a 555 timer in an 8-soic package. I see in some down loaded libraries that they have multiple lines in the attribute, but I can't find how those multiple line were added. In the library editor it shows a device 555 and a package 8-soic but in the attributes it shows four lines of different variants. How do I add the horizontal lines (not columns) to a device attributes?

Hi @jdm2F79V ,

I hope you're doing well. The additional lines you see are created by creating additional technologies that the Device level. Now one thing you should keep in mind is that each footprint variant gets it's own set of attributes and you can add additional rows to each of those through the technologies feature. Just click the technologies hyperlink in the description in the device.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thank you for the reply.

Sorry, I am probably over looking the obvious and I am still having trouble.

Here is a screen shot of the attribute window and Technologies is bolded, but when I click on it, it does flash as if accepting the click, but nothing happens. I'm not able to add anything. Is this the technologies hyperlink you are talking about?

Here is a sample of what I want to create. (the multiple technologies)

This is all that's under device. So the four technologies are added somewhere else

Thank you for your time.

Ok I got. I must type into the command line 'technology' then it adds the extra rows.

I have yet to find something to click on to add the technology, but I don't mind typing the command in.

Thanks for your help
